Born Limerick, November 1952. Married to Geraldine Kennedy. Educated Patrician Brothers College, Ballyfin, Co. Laois, UCD and Kings Inns and the Institute of Certified Accountants (BCL, LLM, BL, Certified Accountant). Minister of State, former Accountant. First elected February 1982 and at each subsequent election.
